Malombra (1984)

Malombra (1984) is an Italian gothic erotic drama directed by Bruno Gaburro. After finishing his studies, young Marco arrives at the remote country estate of his wealthy uncle Osvaldo. The atmosphere is heavy and strange — Osvaldo is still obsessed with his late wife, and the only other permanent resident is her sister Carlotta (Paola Senatore).

At night Marco begins to witness disturbing erotic rituals. A red-haired woman who looks exactly like his dead aunt performs intimate acts in the old bedroom. He cannot tell whether it is Carlotta forced to impersonate her sister, or something more unsettling. As the tension grows, Marco is drawn deeper into the household’s dark desires and eventually takes part in the same cycle of obsession.

The film mixes gothic atmosphere with softcore eroticism and features extensive nude scenes with Paola Senatore, including full frontal and masturbation sequences.
