Strange Circus (Kimyō na Sākasu, 2005) is a Japanese horror-drama written and directed by Sion Sono. Erotic novelist Taeko writes a twisted story about a school principal who forces his young daughter to watch him have sex with her mother, then rapes the girl while making the mother watch. The family descends into ongoing incest, jealousy, abuse, murder and suicide. The line between the novel and reality blurs as her assistant digs into her past. Movie features multiple explicit sex scenes, full frontal nudity (breasts, bush), prolonged incest and rape sequences, and extreme psychological and physical violence. Masumi Miyazaki appears nude in several hard sex scenes. Strong focus on the taboo incest and sexual abuse themes.
