First scandalous adult film with a plot banned in some countries (1972)
Deep Throat (1972) is one of the first adult films with a plot and is one of highest grossing porn films (included in top 5) and is associated with a lot of
"dark stories". Film was made by mafia members and they were engaged in laundering money from drug sales and prostitution by controlling theaters in
which showed film and overestimating box office. Story ended with the death of mafia boss who financed film, disappearance of one of main actors and
movie ban in some countries. Film's budget was $47500, box office $30-50 million (confirmed), estimated by the FBI at $100 million.
