A Lonely Cow Weeps at Dawn (2003) Father-in-Law & Daughter-in-Law Sex

A Lonely Cow Weeps at Dawn (2003), original title Chikan gifu: Musuko no yome to…, is a Japanese pink film directed by Daisuke Gotō. The story follows Noriko (Ryōko Asagi), a young widow living on a farm with her elderly, senile father-in-law Shukichi. To comfort him, she pretends to be his favorite cow that died years ago and allows him to “milk” her every morning.

What begins as a strange act of care gradually develops into a full sexual relationship between the father-in-law and his son’s widow. The film centers on this taboo intimate bond, mixing rural drama with explicit softcore sex scenes, full nudity and the highly unusual milking sequences. It remains one of the more distinctive and talked-about entries in the pink film genre for its open portrayal of the forbidden father-in-law / daughter-in-law dynamic.
