La Luna (1979) - Mother Son Incest

La Luna (1979), also known as Luna, is a drama directed by Bernardo Bertolucci. Jill Clayburgh stars as Caterina, a recently widowed American opera singer who moves to Italy with her teenage son Joe (Matthew Barry). As the boy struggles with heroin addiction, their relationship becomes intensely intimate and crosses into taboo territory.

The film features Jill Clayburgh nude (breasts, buttocks and brief full frontal/bush) in a changing and shower sequence. There are also several highly charged physical scenes between mother and son, including caressing and oral contact that stop short of full intercourse. The movie was controversial upon release for its open treatment of incestuous desire.
